Studio Judith Hofmann!
Don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions about my work, if you want to collaborate, or for illustration and graphic design enquiries.
Hello! I’m Judith Hofmann and work as a freelance Graphic Designer and Illustrator.
I live and work in Enschede (The Netherlands).
Since 2007 I make editorial illustrations for newspapers, magazines, and book projects. Cultural institutions ask me to create artworks that appeal to their audiences and reveal the invisible layers of their services and products. I want people to engage with my illustrations, to trigger their imagination and to get lost in a colorful world without gravity and limitations.
Would you like to collaborate on a project? Just send me a note, tell me a little bit about your project, and I will get back in touch with you shortly.
My creativity is fueled by songs, quotes, proverbs and other lingual phenomena. I love to make digital collages consisting of lots of different layers and details that I arrange intuitively. I use vintage books, magazines, and photographs as source material, as well as some patterned paper, textile or wood structures, so it all adds up to a colorful illustration with a somewhat nostalgic feel. I attempt to make something that people can relate to, that is recognizable but also invites them to look at it from a different perspective – so that it’s part of the world as we know it and yet an entrance to a new imaginary world.
